12 Pc Resistance Bands Set – 5 Workout Bands, Cushioned Ankle Straps, Padded Handles, Door Anchor & Waterproof Gym Bag – Home Exercise, Strength Training, Physical Therapy, Yoga Fitness Gear
Since the gyms are closed at the moment I was looking for something that would provide some resistance exercise without having to buy a bunch of weights. While these would be insufficient for the long haul (the resistance is variable rather than constant like actual weights), they will work for the time being. They seem to be pretty well made, but having just gotten them, I can’t speak to their durability. They say there is a lifetime warranty if you join their mailing list (just what I need, more junk mail), but that is untested as yet, and of course lasts only the life of the company at best.It takes a while to figure out which straps to use for each exercise, but once you do the process speeds up. It is tedious to have to keep hooking and unhooking to change straps which is further hindered by the fact that there is no 30LB strap, only a 5,10, 20, 40, and 50. Thus, you have to hook a 10 and 20 at the same time to get the 30. That would be OK unless you want to use two 30’s (or 40’s) at the same time. There is no way to create two. Also, I keep pinching my finger in the hook because it often catches on the fabric when changing straps. For these to work you need to pull them to a point where there is some resistance before you actually start the exercise. With that said, they’re better than nothing. I would recommend them as an interim solution.
