Safety Harness, ISO, Adult
This harness fits perfectly (5’11”, 220 lbs). I agree with other posters that there might be confusion as to how this is supposed to fit and maybe that’s why there are some poor reviews. It is designed to fit over your upper torso with the attachment point just below your sternum. I think some people think it is supposed to extend all the way to your waist, which you DO NOT want. Imagine being tethered at the waist and falling overboard and being dragged through the water. The water pressure would bend you backwards at the waist making it very difficult to recover yourself. This one attaches right where it should and feels comfortable and appears to be made very well. Without leg loops, there is the possibility of it being pulled off over your head if you fall overboard, so keep that in mind. I’m sure you would want something with leg loops for serious offshore use, but this is great for what I plan to use it for, coastal cruising and singlehanding.
